House of Go Hui-Dong

The House of Go Hui-Dong is renowned for its traditional Korean-style architecture, known as the Hanok, which is located in the inner corner of Bukchon. The house was designed and constructed by Go Hui-dong, one of the first painters to adopt Western-style oil painting in Korea, in 1918.
The house exhibits a distinctive assimilation of Korean, Japanese, and Western-style architecture as well as Go’s artworks and life.
