Seodaemun Prison History Hall

The Seodaemun Prison History Hall was first opened as Gyeongseong Prison in 1908, which had been used as a prison for around 8 decades until it was opened as a history hall in 1998.
The museum was opened to commemorate the deaths and pain of the Korean independence activists who were imprisoned and martyred here during the Japanese colonization.
